Sr. Cost Accountant

We are looking for a Sr. Cost Accountant to join our team. The cost accountant position is accountable for the ongoing analysis of process constraints, target costing projects, margin analysis, and tracing costs back to underlying activities. The cost accountant must also construct and monitor those cost-effective data accumulation systems needed to provide an appropriate level of costing information to management.

Job Requirements:

Data Collection:

  • Construct data accumulation systems for a cost accounting system

  • Create and review the controls needed for data accumulation and reporting systems

  • Inventory:
  • Review estimating process

  • Calculate actual costs / standard costs for our bill of materials and products

  • Review standard and actual costs for inaccuracies

  • Track inventory through our manufacturing process

  • Track inventory through our manufacturing process

  • Validate the cost of goods sold as part of the month-end close

  • Accumulate and apply overhead costs as req'd by generally accepted accounting principles

  • Work with operational management to locate and dispose of obsolete inventory

  • Coordinate physical inventory counts and cycle counts

  • Investigate cycle counting variances and resolve issues

  • Coreldraw experience or the ability to quickly adapt to it required


  • Analysis:
  • Provide data points to COO to assist in an ongoing manufacturing process constraint analysis

  • Report on our operational process capacity and utilization

  • Report on break even points by products, work centers, and factories

  • Report on margins by product and division

  • Report on periodic variances and their causes, focusing in particular on spending variances

    Project Manager (PM 2)

    We are looking for an organized Senior Project Manager (PM-2) to join our team. The successful candidate will lead the completion of service jobs, sign conversion programs and/or new site signage installs.

    The candidate will be required to work side-by-side with our operations and project management teams, in a fast-paced environment, to ensure that all aspects of the given projects meet the client and American Signcrafters’ standards of excellence. The candidate will work on signage projects ranging from strategic planning to corporate and retail; interior and exterior; illuminated and non-illuminated signs on deadline.

    Qualifications

    • Associate degree in a related field, Bachelor's degree in a similar field is desired.

    • 3+ years relatable job experience with demonstrated success in organization, computer skills and communication skills; both verbal and written

    • Sign, media or display experience a plus

    • Robust ability to analyze options and problem solve the unexpected

    • Ability to read blueprints and technical documents required; mechanical aptitude is desired

    • Capable of doing or learning site surveys and field measurements

    • Capable of working independently as well as in a team

    • Capable of working outside of the non-traditional work hours

    • Capable of traveling to job sites and/or permitting offices upon request

    • Netsuite experience a plus

    Project Manager (PM 2) candidates will assist in the following duties:

    • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects

    • Work with clients to understand their business needs, establish budgets, and deliver a quality solution

    • Explore signage options, fabrication methods, and profitability

    • Collaborate with internal staff to support the design, estimating, project management and operations process

    • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget

    • Assist customers with managing permit and other municipality challenges

    • Compile work orders & purchase orders

    • Monitor and track progress including but not limited to obtaining completion photos, maintaining shared network folders & excel documents

    • Report and escalate issues to management as needed

    Sign Company Art Director

    We are looking for an Experienced Art Director to join our team. We work with a wide variety of clients on projects of all sizes from conceptual to detailed signage structures, always considering the clients brand position. We help our clients bring their brands to life.

    Position description:

    • The Art Director will be required to work in a fast-paced workplace, side-by-side with our operations and project management teams to deliver signage projects ranging from strategic planning to corporate and retail; interior and exterior; illuminated and non-illuminated signs.

    • The designer will work on a wide variety of graphics, branded environment, signage and wayfinding projects in a diverse range of markets such as high end retail, financial, hospitality, sports and entertainment to name a few.

    • The Ideal Candidate should have a minimum of 7 years of sign design experience. This must include both illuminated and non-illuminated signs. A proven portfolio of concept drawings, basic permit drawings including framing, electrical and footers, Custom Sign Design with a focus on material usage and fabrication is a must.

    • The ability to direct Fabrication/ Shop Drawings and Value Engineering are a plus.

    • Proficiency drawing in scale and familiarity with architectural construction documents, elevations, plans and shop drawings.

    • Working knowledge of general sign fabrication techniques for sign types such as monument and pylon; wall signs and large canopy structures (all of which can be either illuminated or non-illuminated).

    • Excellent communication skills and experience as the main point of contact for clients, vendors, consultants and project teams.

    • Ability to multitask while remaining efficient poised and organized.

    • Flexibility to work both collaboratively and independently on projects of all scales and types.

    Sales Executive

    We are looking for an experienced Sales Executive to join our team. The successful candidate will develop new business, in and outside of our existing customer base, demonstrating how American Signcrafters will assist in the growth of their business their signs and architectural branding elements.

    The candidate will be required to work side-by-side with our operations and project management teams, in a fast-paced environment, to deliver signage projects ranging from strategic planning to corporate and retail; interior and exterior; illuminated and non-illuminated signs on deadline.

    Qualifications:

    • Associate degree in a related field, Bachelor's degree in a similar field is desired.

    • 5+ years sales experience with demonstrated success in B2B selling

    • Capable of working outside of the non-traditional work hours, as is common in sales

    • Sign, media or display experience a plus

    • Robust ability to analyze options and problem solve the unexpected

    • Ability to read blueprints and technical documents required; mechanical aptitude is desired

    • Capable of doing or learning site surveys and field measurements

    • Sales related training a plus

    • Netsuite experience a plus

    Duties:

    • Generate new business using successful lead generation and prospecting methods; meet established sales goals

    Assistant Project Manager (PM 1)

    We are looking for an organized Assistant Project Manager (PM-1) to join our team. The successful candidate will assist the Senior Project Management team in facilitating the completion of service jobs, sign conversion programs and/or new site signage installs.

    The candidate will be required to work side-by-side with our operations and project management teams, in a fast-paced environment, to ensure that all aspects of the given projects meet the client and American Signcrafters’ standards of excellence. The candidate will work on signage projects ranging from strategic planning to corporate and retail; interior and exterior; illuminated and non-illuminated signs on deadline.

    Qualifications
    • Associate’s degree in a related field, Bachelor's degree in a similar field is desired.

    • Relatable job experience with demonstrated success in organization, computer skills and communication skills; both verbal and written.

    • Task orientated with the ability to receive and upload invoices, completion photos and other project documentation to shared online databases.

    • Capable of working independently as well as in a team
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs especially excel and able to navigate through web based project management platforms.

    Assistant Project Manager (PM 1) candidates will assist in the following duties under the direction of a Senior Project Manager (PM 2 and above)

    • Assist with requested tasks/permitting/work orders around project schedule.

    • Assist with monitoring of the administrative procedures for the project.

    • Receive and upload completion photos, invoices, permits and other project documentation onto shared web based project management platforms

    • Data Entry into Excel and web based project management platforms

    • Coordinate and prepare work orders & purchase orders

    • Monitor and track progress including but not limited to obtaining completion photos, maintaining shared network folders & excel documents

    • Report and escalate issues to management as needed

    • Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors

    • Participate in regularly scheduled project staff meetings

    • Able to multitask and prioritize tasks

    • Gain working knowledge of all project plans, specifications, contracts, purchase orders, daily correspondence, shop drawings, submittals and all other project related documents.
