Jeff Petersen has seen and done it all in the sign business. Jeff started in the business at the early age of 16 when he began working for Kal Signs in Long Island, NY. Immersed in the craft and with a desire to find better, faster and more innovative ways to get things done, Jeff didn’t fly under the radar for long. After starting in the non-union sector of the business he transitioned to a union sign shop. Because of his emerging skill, he completed a 6 year apprenticeship in just 4 years with the NYC Sheet Metal Union, Local 137. During that time Jeff helped to shape the New York City signage landscape, creating some of the most well-known spectaculars in Times Square for the iconic sign builder, Art Kraft Strauss.
Driven by a strong entrepreneurial spirit, Jeff launched his own small sign repair company that blossomed into TJ signs Unlimited ultimately evolving into American Signcrafters. With over 130 employees, three state-of-the art manufacturing facilities, and a list of marquee clients, Jeff has created the framework for a successful full solution sign company. With his “can do” reputation and countless successes throughout the years, he has positioned American SignCrafters into what is now one of the most intriguing and sought after sign companies in the U.S.
With the time tested, hands on approach, it’s not uncommon to see Jeff on the shop floor sharing his expertise with his team of fabricators or high up in the NYC skyline helping with an installation. While he has been involved in the design, manufacturing, and installation of thousands of signs, some of the projects he’s most proud of include the brand conversion of North Fork Bank to Capital One (400 branches in 8 months), The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon marquee, the Barclays Center Arena, and the new NBC Comcast sign atop the iconic 30 Rockefeller Center Building.

Jonathan Bell brings more than 23 years of sign industry knowledge and experience to our executive team.
Joining the team at Interstate Signcrafters in 2003, Jonathan has nurtured and expounded on his relationships with national branch banking institutions.
As an industry leader in the financial services market, Jonathan has successfully helped to develop American SignCrafters in the preeminent provider of financial institution signage in North America.
As Vice-President, with a day-to-day focus on management of project staff, and business development teams, Jon works closely with the heartbeat of our organization focused on sales growth and project management quality.
Jonathan has been instrumental in developing and prototyping some of the most complicated and forward thinking signage solutions in the financial services industry, specifically the development and implementation of fully illuminated ATM walls.
While nurturing and guiding the approval process with the clients, ASC has fine-tuned and developed our ATM development facility in Little Falls, NJ under Jonathan’s guidance.

Lisa Johnson has amassed more than 25 years of sign industry experience. Dedicated to working after classes and on school breaks since the age of 16, she has worked in nearly every aspect of the sign business.
In 1997, when American Signcrafters expanded to the Southeast region and opened a facility in Florida, Lisa moved from the New York headquarters to manage the team Interstate Signcrafters, our sister company.
Relying on her experience in customer relations and project management she has been an integral part in the growth patterns of our Florida operation.
Today, as Vice President of Interstate Signcrafters, Lisa focuses on customer relations, sales management and high level company initiatives with a focus on growth.
While knowledgeable about the various industries that we serve, she has a sub-specialty in retail projects that allow us to tackle some of the most high profile and complicated projects this region has to offer.
Previous assignments for a number of key retail clients include: the Palm Beach Outlets, Dolphin Mall and Harbourside Place.

Email » Anthony Lipari
Anthony Lipari joined the American Signcrafters team in 2001 as a comptroller. During our company’s national conversion project for Capital One Bank in 2007-2008 Anthony transitioned his role from the accounting division to the operational side of the business.
With a firm knowledge base for accounting principles and cost savings, Anthony has helped to develop ASC’s internal tracking, costing and deliverable systems to meet today’s high standards of excellence.
As Senior Vice President of American Signcrafters, Anthony oversees operations in New York, New Jersey and Florida. By working closely with our operational teams in each facility, Anthony is able to confidently portray ASC as a true national sign company with operational procedures that are second to none.
Anthony is a former Navy serviceman who spent the first part of his post-military career as an accountant with a manufacturing company in Ohio and New Jersey. He credits his success in the sign business to being able to approach each situation differently, being agile in his approach to accomplish projects while consistently exploring new ideas. Anthony hold an OSHA 30 certificate and a LEED Associate certificate.

Val Mayer, CPA joined our team in 2013 with more than 15 years’ of progressive accounting and finance experience in a variety of industries, including manufacturing, direct response, wholesaling and retailing.
Val assists organizations through critical growth phases with a strong and comprehensive knowledge of financial accounting, reporting and analysis.
Valerie holds an MBA from Hofstra University, a Bachelor’s of Science Degree from St. John’s University and her certified public accountant license in NY. As Controller/Vice President of Finance, Val is responsible for communicating all key financial data, forecasting, budgeting, treasury management and day to day accounting operations to internal and external recipients.
Her reach goes far beyond her accounting expertise as she plays an intricate role in coaching and growing the existing staff across Company-wide departments.
Val is well respected due to her dedication and hands on professionalism in the corporate accounting profession.
